The Alley Cafe © J&J Creative Group
We are proud to source all our fruit, veg and meat from Kent-based farmers and traders. Making time to find and meet the best local suppliers of fresh and organic foods is a great way to connect with and support the local community. Local produce and local culture.
Here are some of the good people we love doing business with, and we're sure you will too.

We call them the 'Veg Bros' - to be found at the top of Earl Street in Maidstone Town Centre, these guys have been running a kent fruit and veg trading stall for 20 years. They have the finest quality produce, right in town centre.
We have gorgeous local breads made fresh daily from Hemings Bakehoue - a new local bakery producing sourdough delights and wheat free options!

Work in progress...This is the first planting box for THE URBAN GARDEN. The Urban Garden is our latest project to turn the alley infront of the studio into a jungle of vegetables and fruits and herbs! Watch this space as we plant throughout Spring and feel very welcome to get involved, make donations of seeds or pots etc to the project!

Biddenden Vineyard is Kent’s oldest commercial vineyard, having been established by the Barnes family in 1969 to produce wines and ciders. The vineyards are set in 23 acres on a gentle south facing slope in a shallow sheltered valley, 1.2 miles from the lovely Wealden village of Biddenden. Eleven varieties of grapes are grown to produce White, Red, Rosé and Quality Sparkling wines. Traditional Kentish ciders have also been made here for over 20 years together with farm pressed apple and pear juices.

JC Rook and sons family butchers source only Kent produce and provide it to us at their shop in the Chequers Centre, Maidstone Town Centre. Basically the only proper butchers left in Maidstone centre, and if I'm wrong, please let me know! It's great to have traditional independent traders in town.
